About Us

Our Mission:
To inspire and empower individuals and families to overcome adversity, restore hope, and achieve stability through education, advocacy, behavioral health support, and community engagement.
Our Vision:
A thriving Central Ohio community where youth, adults, and families have access to the resources, support, and opportunities needed to succeed and build generational stability.
Our History:
After accepting his call to ministry in 2007, A. Jay Pullen developed a passion for mentoring and community support. In 2011, he launched People Like Me to address systemic barriers affecting underserved communities.
Over the years, the organization has expanded to include:
Behavioral health counseling
Workforce development
Re-entry stabilization
Youth leadership programs
Community outreach initiatives
Today, People Like Me continues to grow as a pillar of support across Central Ohio.

Building safe, supportive, and respectful environments.

Encouraging self-confidence and resilience.

Partnering to address local needs together.

Upholding accountability in everything we do.
